I've heard somewhere before that the 'Walsall League Cup 60-61' is quite rare nowadays?

I've heard somewhere before that the 'Walsall League Cup 60-61' is quite rare nowadays? All the 3 League Cup games from 61 are rare - the Accrington Stanley one is probably the hardest to get. I've got the Bury one and a copy of the Stanley one. Sadly that picture is the nearest I've got to the Walsall one! I've started to become more rational about missing issues - I'll take copies now to fill the gaps and if I'm lucky enough to ever obtain an original then all well and good. TD

What about the 5th round against Shrewsbury Town away?
Is that rare too?

What about the 5th round against Shrewsbury Town away? Is that rare too? Yes, Tranmere and Shrewsbury away are also rare. The Tranmere one was issued 12th Dec and played 21st with an extra 4 page insert TD

toffeedan, if you sign upto www.photobucket.com you can host large pictures there which will give you a much clearer scan of the item as on that host your using some of the scans are still small where you cant see all of the detail. Upto you like anyway.

Hmm I've got Bury and a copy of AS but not Walsall, it's one of the very few I don't have.

streetend,
This is the PM I sent to Barrett a few hours ago: The inaugural floodlight game against Liverpool was on 9th October 1957. I got the Inter Milan away programme because my mother's boss (a mad Everton fan) went to the away game and I asked my mother if he could get a programme for me. The earliest Everton programme that I have is home v. Blackpool on 4th April 1947. Others that might be of interest are: 9th February 1952 home v. Leicester City which carries an obituary to King George VI; 30th September 1953 home v. Army FA XI; 23rd October 1957 home v. Red Star (Yugoslavia); 11th October 1958 away v. Spurs (the dreaded 10-4 game!); 12th April 1961 home v. Bangu (Brazil); 15th November 1961 home v. Dynamo Kiev; 7th April 1964 English players v. Scottish players (Dixie Dean testimonial game); 28th September 1965 away v. FC Nurnberg (ICFC); 12th February 1966 away v. Bedford Town (plus match ticket) (FA Cup): I was at that game in the Everton end - face one way and you're watching the game, turn around and you're looking at fields and fields of sheep and cows, honest!; 5th April 1966 at Molineux FA Cup 6th Round second replay v. Man City (this was a single sheet programme!).
I'm cataloging them because I'm intending to sell them all. With an impending house move we need to downsize a lot of possessions, and I feel that others might gain enjoyment from them, as I rarely look at them now. I have counted 466 Everton programmes up to the end of the 1968/69 season. There ARE a lot more still to catalogue. I also have a dozen or more FA Cup Final programmes from 1961 onwards.
If you want me to send you the list up to 1968/69 season I can easily send it to you as a 'Word' doc. Or I can send you the list when I have completed it. If you are not interested in the collection, perhaps you know others who might be interested in it.
Hope that answers your question. I would look to sell the collection complete, rather than split it up. I don't want to end up selling between 600 & 700 programmes piecemeal. What I have would be a great starting point for someone, or it may fill a lot of gaps for someone chasing '50s and '60s Everton programmes.
