Went for £37.00, some of these friendlies are going for decent prices at the minute.

I suppose it's all about biding your time really mate. I have only been collecting about a year and have realised now not to jump in with both feet when I see something as it will always come round again.

I don't know if this applies to programme collecting, but I got that advise some time ago from another shirt collector, and to some extent I agree - but not fully. There are so few pieces of some items (shirts), that they most probably are 1) Lost 2) Already with a serious collector who won't part with it. Whenever such an item comes up they're bound to get a good price on eBay, given that most collectors check there regulary - I've bought 2 shirts in the last year that I've never, ever seen for sale (or even know anybody who has, even less owned). They were expensive, but I don't dare to bide my time, because if they haven't come up for so many years, it's likely they'll be bought by another collector who won't put them on the market, and I could wait another 20 years...

That's the way I look at it mate. I collect badges and must have about 250 now and I always bid silly amounts for ones I haven't seen before and its sickening when you see 1 the week after goin for considerably less!

Sounds like a decent collection of badges mate .... what is the rarest one you've got ? And any chance of a couple of pics as well ?

There's a few rare ones I've got. One that I haven't seen anywhere is 1 of the dixie dean mascot we used to have a while back. The best thing is that I bought it for about £2 outside Goodison when i was a kid. The most I've paid is about £24 but I've seen quite a few in the past. I hoping to get a digital camera for christmas so I will post the pics then!!
